Mentors are needed to assist foster youth as they transition from high school to college. Transitioning youth in foster care may not have permanence in their placement so have no real support system for guidance into adulthood. The Community Connections Youth Program (CCYP) is searching for mentors to fulfill roles in walking beside youth who need support, guidance and someone they can count on during a very vulnerable time in their life. Your contributions can make a seemingly insurmountable feat become obtainable in the mind of an abused and neglected child. If this is for you, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to start the process of becoming a youth mentor.
We serve a 13 county area and will open mentorship to the following counties in Missouri:

The Central Missouri Foster Care & Adoption Association is a not-for-profit agency that educates, supports and advocates for foster and adoptive children, youth and families in central Missouri by offering services and partnering with community and governmental agencies to develop healthy and self-sufficient individuals and families.
Founded in 2007 by a former foster youth, foster parents, and adoptive parents, the CMFCAA is the only community service organization in the Central Missouri area that provides for the needs of our foster and adoptive children, youth and families beyond what the state provides. Currently, we are assisting 205 foster families, 1019 foster children, and 143 adoptive families in the Central Missouri area. Our goal is to be a support to the families, children and youth in this area, and we work tirelessly to provide much needed services to them.
