Stein Hospice needs a Special Delivery Volunteer who will call our home based hospice patients and familes weekly and deliver soup provided through our Chicken Soup Project. Calls can be made in our office or from home. Once a soup order is taken, the volunteer schedules a delivery time convenient to the volunteer and patient. Volunteer must have a good clear phone voice, an active driver's license and a willingness to listen compassionately to others.

Stein Hospice is a nonprofit organization that provides comprehensive services to terminally ill patients and their families focusing on improving their quality of life. Our professional hospice team and our trained volunteers serve the patients wherever they call home; whether it is a house, apartment, assisted living facility or nursing home. Description
Our terminally ill patients are in need of caring companions who will help them live the best lives possible in the last months, weeks and days of their lives.
Our hospice services are coordinated and provided by an interdisiciplinary team of professionals and trained volunteers. The volunteers offer essential help either directly to patients and their families, or in our offices. Direct patient care volunteers have the opportunity to create relationships with patients, offering them dignity, companionship and caring at a time when they need human connections the most.
