1. During the months of August and September, you can help our new class of students start the year off right!
Groups/companies are invited to be a classroom sponsor by Adopting - A - Classroom, which fills a critical
funding gap that helps us provide our free preschool services and gives each student a classroom full of the
school supplies they’ll need to succeed. Groups/companies/individuals are invited to collect supplies
including crayons, markers, colored pencils, eraser, safety scissors, glue stick, and a classic children’s book
like Rooster’s Off to See the World by Eric Carle.
2. Our Sponsor a Child program provides the opportunity to sponsor a child for $19 a month, ensuring they
receive the education they need to succeed in school and life. For less than $1 a day you will prepare a child
for future success by providing a strong foundation for their formal education. You will be matched with
one of CFNC’s 136 students. You may choose the gender of the child and CFNC will choose the child. (You
will be the only sponsor for this child). You will receive a photo of your child, his/her name and some
additional information about your child. The child will receive a teddy bear with a note from you (optional)
that will be delivered to your sponsored child. You are welcome to come visit your child and see them
learning in the classroom. You may also correspond with your child, send a birthday gift or a note of
encouragement. You will receive periodic updates and drawings from your child that will allow you to
learn more about his/her daily life and experiences in the classroom.
