We are looking for volunteers who are passionate about our mission to be a part of this year's planning committee and assist in planning for the 2021 Los Angeles Buddy Walk.
The Buddy Walk program was established to promote acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome and celebrate Down Syndrome Awareness Month in October. The Buddy Walk is an opportunity for anyone and everyone to walk - or support a walker - and raise funds for the Down Syndrome Association of Los Angeles and the National Down Syndrome Society.
As a part of the planning committee, you may be asked to:
- Participate in planning committee bimonthly-meetings via teleconferencing
- Help in the areas of sponsorship, marketing, fundraising, and logistics
- Help coordinate advertising efforts
- Help recruit fundraising teams for the Los Angeles Buddy Walk
