ORGANIZATION: Friends of MJHS

  • 3 people are interested

It’s RUSH time at Nu Sigma Theta and we are recruiting ladies and gentlemen (ages 20-over) from New York City to pledge and become part of our final Summer Pledge Line.

We are trying to strengthen our network in New York City and we need people who have a heart for service and advocacy to help us do that.

Nu Sigma Theta was formed to provide a way for people to do community service projects and random acts of kindness, but as time went on, it also became a way for adults and teens to connect and form relationships with other all over the world. For 2018, we will be supporting specific charities and causes which include: Covenant House, James E. Davis Stop Violence Foundation, Wounded Warriors, American Diabetes Association, 1City Christian Academy and more! Although Nu Sigma Theta partners with some faith-based organizations, it is a non-religious organization.

We meet quarterly for service work (but social activities might happen more frequently). Most of our activities can be done from the comfort of your own home. An activity planner is sent once a month and we also encourage our members to develop activities of their own.

A working email address is a requirement as is a Facebook account. Facebook is critical as it allows you to participate in our orientation and engage with our members. If you are unable or unwilling to create a Facebook page for this activity, there is no way that you can participate at this time.

Interested candidates can respond here with their name, city/state and specify whether they are youth or adult.

There are no "dues" imposed for those who apply under this opportunity - but we only need five people - so if you're interested, you must RUSH! Once we have five people from NYC, we will no longer accept non-dues applications from that state.

Connections are important! We would love to be connected with you!
