Join us for Family Fun Day!Event: Family Fun Day at the Knoxville Museum of Art Date: Saturday, July 8th, 2017
Everyone is invited to celebrate the art and lives of Beauford and Joseph Delaney, two brothers who grew up in Knoxville but who's art careers took them to New York and Paris! This summer Family Fun Day is jam-packed with fun art activities, artists demonstrations, continuous entertainment on stage, docents to talk with guests about current exhibitions, and fantastic art-making activities inspired by the museum's current exhibition of Beauford Delaney and the KMA collection. Volunteers work with kids helping them create art & crafts inspired by the works in the museum! Shifts are 10:30am-1pm or 1-3:30pm, volunteers are needed to help with arts & crafts, setup & cleanup, keep lines moving at the various activities such as face painting, and assist with prize and concession stands. Volunteer with a group of friends or on your own, either way you will have just as much fun as the kids and their families!
