You are a web developer who shares our focus on user impact and reliability and will help us scale both our technology and our team.

What you’ll do:

  • Support the maintenance and updating for the back-end of our current website, while improving efficiency and maintaining the highest standards of quality web development.
  • Publish approved content on various social media platforms (i.e., LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter) while expanding our social media presence and improving engagement and reach.
  • Work closely with the Executive Director, staff, and board members to develop content for the public website, electronic newsletters, and social media platforms.
  • Build out, publish and distribute electronic newsletters using Mail Chimp and Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Lead blog content development and distribution efforts to ensure optimal reach and relevance.
  • Scope and present, proactively, new ideas to improve our Website experience for donors, partners and other visitors.
  • Use Adobe Creative Cloud to build out graphics and templates for social media and web design.

What we’re looking for:

  • An adaptive, positive, empathetic, and collaborative teammate who can deliver clean, reliable, and maintainable solutions to user needs.
  • Proficient level knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP, Wordpress
  • Experience working with content management systems - we use WordPress.
  • Understanding of user-centered design, progressive enhancement and graceful degradation, accessibility, SEO, responsive design, and website performance.
  • Proficiency with version control systems.
  • Tenacity to dive into problems and iterate in working code
  • Excellent attention to detail around user experience and code cleanliness
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, technical and otherwise
