Weekend docents are responsible for guiding visitors through a hands‐on activity or station about the Preserve. Hands-on tabling supplies include everything from birds to the water cycle. If you have an interest in the natural world and would like to share it with others, this is the position for you! Past topics include a sandhill crane dance station with crane artifacts, and a birdwatching table with binoculars and guides about commonly seen birds on the preserve. Science Shorts is open for volunteers on weekends in 2-3 hour shifts.
If you are interested in this volunteer opportunity or would like more information, email Rhea at rhea.cone@usu.edu. Rhea will let you know the next available volunteer shift.
