The American Cancer Society is seeking a volunteer virtual coordinator for its Road to Recovery program. A volunteer in this role would recieve and distribute information via email and telephone. The coordinator communicates with the volunteer drivers who provide rides to cancer patients to get to and from lifesaving treatment. The American Cancer Society will provide a training session for new volunteers and other on-going learning opportunities throughout the year to help volunteers be the best cancer support resource that they can be.
Road to Recovery volunteer coordinators arrange their own schedules and can work from anywhere. The time commitment varies but can be flexible. With some spare time each week, you can help someone keep a very important appointment.
For more information about the Road to Recovery program or to find out about other volunteer opportunities, contact the American Cancer Society Program Manager, TJ Gerrett at 1.888.227.6446 ext 1106
