Do you enjoy online creativity and have problem-solving skills? If so, ChickTech DC wants you! We are looking for an individual who has experience with WordPress. The ideal person will welcome the challenge that comes along with web design and provides creative solutions to these problems.


Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of how to implement, navigate and modify WordPress themes

  • Must be creative, with a good sense of graphic design

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Duties:

  • Develop and modify website pages with WordPress

  • Scrutinize every aspect of website and testing for increased performance on phones and\or tablets

  • Design, edit and update current websites, including but not limited to: web pages, blog articles, graphic updates, SEO optimized posts, among other common web support related mediums

  • Responsive web design

  • Adding functionality and logic to sites

  • Troubleshooting issues

Description

ChickTech is a multi-generational community helping each other become technology creators. We facilitate hands-on technology-centric events and mentorship to empower, support, and increase the confidence of girls, women, and non-binary folks. Through our programs, we build community, empower participants to see themselves as leaders, and provide networking and mentoring opportunities in the rapidly growing tech industry.

As a mostly volunteer-run non-profit, we are always searching for partners who would like to get involved through donations of expertise, volunteer time, in-kind, funding, or just by helping to get the word out.
