Do you love using your creativity to work with children to develop their skills? Project Outreach is seeking volunteers to help us meet an adult-to-child ratio of 1 to 2 at our weekend respite care sessions. Volunteers will help oversee Saturday afternoon 4-hour respite sessions for children with special needs and their siblings. Opportunities in which volunteers can support children at sessions include, but are not limited to:
- Engage children in developmentally appropriate enrichment activities in an inclusive environment.
- Lead activities with children based on your interests.
- Adapt activities as needed.
- Observe and monitor children's play activities.
- Lead indoor and outdoor sensory play and educational activities.
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment.
- Maintain communication with Director and Board of Directors as needed.

Project Outreach strives to include as many children with special needs as possible in educational and enriching opportunities that foster socialization in a safe, comfortable, and supervised environment. We seek to provide Cleveland County families with temporary respite care to promote a strong quality of life and a healthy family environment and cultivate a support network for caregivers.
Description
Project Outreach provides 4-hour care and play sessions for children with special needs and their siblings so that their caregivers and families can engage in self-care activities.
