To be a reading tutor with a child, volunteers commit one hour per week to go into one of Project READ's participating schools in the Miami Valley to tutor. Volunteers are needed during the school day or immediately after school. Contact us for more information.

*Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, in-person tutoring has concluded for this program year. We'll need many tutors in the fall!

Project READ promotes skilled workers, strong families and healthy communities through literacy.

Description

Project READ is the literacy coalition serving the Dayton, Ohio area. Project READ refers adults to GED, English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), reading and family literacy classes. Literacy volunteers are also recruited and referred to tutor adults or children in reading.
