The Salvation Army Traverse City food pantry is seeking volunteers to help keep the food pantry running smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities include assisting food pantry clients, assisting with food selection, packing bags of food, keeping shelves well-stocked and keeping the pantry spaces clean and organized.
Qualifications:
Good communication and organizational skills
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
Positive Attitude
Legible writing
Time Commitment:
Work at least one morning or afternoon per week - Monday and/or Friday
Mornings: 9am to 12pm
Afternoons: 1pm to 4pm
Skills:
Additional Specific skills needed include the ability to bend, lift and climb on small step-stool in order to effectively reach items, pack bags and re-stock shelves.
