We are looking for Patient Care Volunteers at VITAS- Healthcare to visit patients on hospice residing in assisted living, nursing homes and/or their own homes located in South St. Louis County. There are many opportunities and locations available to visit patients.
During visits volunteers may read to patients, write letters for them, play music, games, share conversation and hobbies or simply hold their hand so they are not alone. Volunteers are the heart of VITAS Healthcare providing friendly, non-medical patient and family care through offering individualized support services. Comprehensive training and orientation for hospice volunteering is provided.
