ABOUT MY NEIGHBORHOOD MOBILE GROCERY
My Neighborhood Mobile Grocery (MNMG) is a weekly pop-up grocery retail model that provides individuals and families who have low access to affordable, healthy foods with a new and innovative shopping option within their communities. Offering a wide, competitively priced product mix that balances client choice with nutritional products, educational programming, and incentives to increase consumption of fruits and vegetables, MNMG extends the purchasing power of shoppers.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
Lexington Village Apartments is a high-rise apartment complex for low-income seniors and young disabled. We are in need of an individual who can commit to volunteering weekly on our Mobile Grocery truck when we pop-up at Lexington each week.
You would be responsible for helping pull customer orders from racks on our truck (including the truck cooler and freezer). If you enjoy a unique, fast-paced environment, are detail-oriented, and are comfortable lifting up to 20 lbs, then this is the perfect fit for you!
Please connect with us on VolunteerMatch if you are interested in learning more and/or would like to sign up for a volunteer date to try it out.
