Project Safe is hosting a two week summer camp called Superheroes in July of 2018. This year, camp will be held over the course of two weeks: July 16th-20th and July 23rd-27th. This camp is for children ages 8-13 who have experienced/witnessed domestic violence in the home. Each day will consist of different activities, educational information, and field trips. We are looking for lunch donations each day of the camp for a total of 15 children. We are also looking for donations of snacks for each day of the camp. Project Safe is a non-profit working to end domestic violence in the Athens area through crisis intervention, ongoing support, systems change advocacy, and prevention and education.
Description
Project Safe is a local domestic violence center located in Athens, Georgia. We serve Clarke, Oconee, Oglethorpe, and Madison counties. We have a 24/7 hotline and emergency shelter. All of our services are free and confidential. We offer counseling, support groups for women and children, individual advocacy, court accompaniment, safety planning, and emergency financial assistance.
