Held each fall at the beautiful Forest Hill Cemetery in Madison, this award-winning living history programs illuminates the lives of many prominent and lesser known-figures in Wisconsin history. Focusing on the contributions of Wisconsin’s soldiers and citizens during the Civil War, local actors and actresses don period dress, giving viewers a first person encounter through scripted vignettes. Tour guides lead informative discussions of the cemetery’s rich history during the 90 minute tour.

WVM is looking for 8 Tour Guides to lead community groups from 12:00pm - 2:30 or 2:30pm to 5:30pm October 1rst. Guides must attend 1 mandatory 2 hour training at a time TBD between 9/27/17- 9/29/17. Description

The museum is much more than a building located on the capitol square in Madison, it is an educational package consisting of exhibits, living histories, informational programs and speakers, and much more. It is constantly evolving and improving to provide you with the ability to feel what it was like to serve in our nation’s wars and conflicts. It is only through your choice to immerse yourself in the entire experience that you will begin to understand and appreciate how our veterans felt.
