History Explorers Family Event
"Victorian Amazing Race"
Saturday, July 8th, 10am - 3pm
Families of all ages will receive their Route Info as they begin a no-rush race at your own pace through the 1890s village. Children and adults will work together to complete activities such as Road Blocks, Yields, and Detours with fun, historic twists. Teams will follow the flags on this scavenger hunt race and complete all challenges that will lead to the final Pit Stop Mat and prize!
Volunteers will have the opportunity to work either at the admissions gate or in our Town Hall selling food and gift shop items.Volunteers shifts are as follows:
- Morning Shift: 9:30am-12:30pm
- Afternoon Shift: 12:15pm-3:00pm
This is a great opportunity to welcome families to this unique and entertaining experience! Volunteer one shift and get entrance to this event FREE!

Welcome to the award-winning Midway Village Museum! The museum campus sits on a 148-acre campus conveniently located near I-90 in Rockford, Illinois. The museum is comfortably nestled among trees to create a beautiful ambiance at any time of the year. Our Victorian-era Village and Main Museum Center are centrally located on the campus within walking distance of each other.
