The National MS Society is looking for volunteers to help with our upcoming event - Bike MS New York City!

Bike MS New York City will be held on Sunday, October 20 at Pier 92/94 in Manhattan. Bike MS: New York City is a unique experience - the 30 mile route around Manhattan is completely traffic free. The 50 and 100 mile rides allow cyclists to ride through the Holland Tunnel traffic free. More than 300 volunteers are needed to make this event a success!

Groups and individuals of all ages and abilities are invited to volunteer. We are always looking for youth clubs, corporate and service-oriented community groups to lend a hand before, during, and after our events. There is only one requirement: a desire to end MS now!

If you are interested in volunteering, please review the positions below and register online here:

About National MS Society - New York City

Location:

733 Third Avenue, 3rd Floor, New York, NY 10017, US

Mission Statement

The National MS Society is committed to building a movement by and for people with MS that will move us closer to a world free of this disease.

Description

The New York City Chapter serves the thousands of New Yorkers living with MS and their families by providing comprehensive support services and educational programs and by funding a national research initiative seeking the cause, treatments and cure for this chronic neurological disease.

The chapter provides outstanding, comprehensive programs and support services designed to help people with MS and their families better cope with the consequences of this complex illness. Whether providing the latest research and referrals, helping people obtain or keep jobs, providing comprehensive medical care or running rehabilitation and counseling programs, the goal of the chapter's support system is to empower people with MS and their loved ones so that they can better control their lives and wellness.

Since it was founded in 1946, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society has spent more for MS research than any non-governmental agency in the world. The Society invests more than $34 million annually to fuel the efforts of hundreds of researchers throughout the U.S. and abroad. That investment is paying off in significant advances toward finding improved treatments, as well as better diagnoses, rehabilitation and symptom therapy.
