Brookdale Hospice is looking for veterans to volunteer as companions with veteran hospice patients.
Veterans often connect on a deeper level when compared to medical staff, this being said having veteran companions is very important to patient mental health. Many of our patients were in World War II, Korean War, and the Vietnam War. They are very proud of their service and would love having someone to tell their life story to.
We are very flexible with volunteers schedules, once you complete the onboarding process you pick when you visit. We only ask that you come with an open mind and good intentions.

We are a local hospice organization in the Minneapolis area. We believe in providing compassionate and individualized care for each of our hospice patients, because every journey is different. Our desire is to continue to grow our volunteer program so that we can effectively address all of the needs that our hospice patients may face while we care for them on this final leg of their journey.
