MacArthur Award-winning Lucky Plush Productions is an internationally touring dance-theater company that provokes, inspires, and entertains audiences through its layered choreography, surprising humor, and socially relevant storytelling. Since 2000, Lucky Plush has created 30 original dance-theater works including 14 evening-length productions. In addition to regularly performing in Chicago, the company has presented work in over 40 US cities from Maine to Hawaii, and its international partners span from New Zealand to Cuba.

Lucky Plush Productions seeks a Board of Directors Liaison as the first point of contact between the Managing and Artistic directors and the organization’s board. The liaison regularly communicates with the board to schedule bi-monthly board meetings (Feb, April, June, etc.) and bi-weekly board development check-in conference calls. He/she manages the creation of documents for meetings, including agendas, financials and minutes. The liaison sends reminders and necessary documents to stakeholders well in advance of meetings , and attends meetings as a notetaker. After each meeting, the liaison uploads all documents to Google Drive. He/she also works closely with the Managing Director to identify ways to increase board engagement and identify new board members. This is a fabulous opportunity to learn about a nonprofit organization and the inter-workings of a board of directors.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills.

• Attention to detail, organized, and efficient.

• Ability to work independently and remotely.

• Estimated time per week is 1+ hours.

• Able to commit to six months or more with the option to extend.

• This is a volunteer position.
