Event Description:
You're invited to make a difference in your community by assisting with this year's ISCA Swim Meets. This volunteer opportunity is a great way to make an impact in a child's life and have lots of fun!
This year's ISCA Swim Meets will take place:
- June 27, 2017 5pm - 7:30pm at Pullen Aquatic Center (410 Ashe Ave.)
- June 29, 2017 5pm - 7:30pm at Optimist Aquatic Center (5902 Whittier Drive)
- July 6, 2017 5pm - 7:30pm at Longview Pool (321 Bertie Drive)
- July 11, 2017 5pm - 7:30pm at Lake Johnson Pool (5863 Jaguar Park Drive)
- July 13, 2017 5pm - 7:30pm at Longview Pool (321 Bertie Drive)
- July 18, 2017 5pm - 7:30pm at Biltmore Hills Pool (701 Crown Crossing Lane)
- July 20, 2017 5pm - 7:30pm at Ridge Road Pool (1709 Ridge Road)
- July 25, 2017 5pm - 7:30pm at Millbrook Aquatic Center (1905 Spring Forest Road)
- July 27, 2017 5pm - 7:30pm at Longview Pool (321 Bertie Drive) *Please note this is a rain make up date
- August 5, 8:15am - 1:00pm at Optimist Aquatic Center (5902 Whittier Drive)
As a volunteer, you will assist with timing, ribbon writing, taking children from Clerk of Course to their designated starting positions, and taking score cards from the timers and giving them to the scorers as well as taking score cards from the Clerk of Course and giving them to the timers.
In order to volunteer, you must be at least 15 years old and sign up online by contacting mary.owens@raleighnc.gov . All volunteers will be required to sign a volunteer release form. For those under the age of 18, a parent/guardian will need to sign. Release forms and additional volunteer details will be emailed to all registered volunteers prior to the swim meet.
Please wear sturdy, closed toed shoes and loose, comfortable clothing. It is recommended to bring a water bottle.
Per department policies, this volunteer opportunity is not to be used towards court-appointed or lawyer suggested hours.
