American Woman is a non profit 501c3 organization dedicated to supporting women and girls in STEM. Our organization is seeking out blog writers to complete at least 3 blogs within a 6 week time period.
- Blog writers can have experience in STEM or not have experience in STEM.
- Topics can vary, you do not have to be in the STEM field to write for us. We would like for people to contribute their individual voices and speak about topics they are interested in. The only mandatory requirement is that you relate your topic back to STEM in some way or eventually show how it relates to the STEM field.
- We value your voice and would like for you write in a way that best amplifies who you are.
- Also for all volunteers that write for us we will have a section on our website for your work to be displayed. Your article may even be featured on our homepage.
- Our website is being built now and should be complete within the next 1-2 months.
Please reach directly out to me if you are interested in writing for American Woman via bellkri4@gmail.com . Within your email we would appreciate your resume, LinkedIn web address and/ portfolio.

Mission Statement
STEM Advancement for Black women and girls
Description
Black Girls Movement, formerly American Woman, has a mission that matters more today than ever before: We fight systemic racism against Black girls by providing them with equal access to STEM education and resources. We are passionate about bridging the gap and increasing representation of Black women in STEM fields. We do this by connecting black female students interested in science, tech, engineering, and math with unique learning and mentoring opportunities. Currently, we’re serving high school girls, and we envision expanding our programming to serve Pre-K and kindergartners as well as elementary and middle school ages. We are a nonprofit charitable organization. Learn more at https://www.blackgirlsmovement.org/.
