Who: Kroc Center Volunteers
What: Support The KROC Center by teaching Spanish to members of the neighborhood who are learning Spanish as a second language! Qualifications and requirements for this position:
Must be able to commit to one hour a week from 9:30-10:30 am on Thursdays, for three months or more. Must be bilingual in English and Spanish. Ability to maintain confidentiality and boundaries as required and appropriate. Have strong interpersonal skills; Ability to work effectively with culturally diverse staff and participants. Prior teaching experience NOT required
Duties and responsibilities: Prepare a syllabus and daily lesson plans for each class, based on student needs. Instruct assigned Spanish language class for a minimum of a three month period. Counsel and support students in developing and accomplishing individual learning goals, as needed. Document student attendance, progress, and areas of need
When: Thursdays from 9:30-10:30am
Where: Kroc Center Community Room
Why: To help members of our community learn to speak Spanish as a second language.

Description
The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center is a 12.4-acre family support, education, recreation, and cultural arts center, made possible by a generous gift by the late philanthropist Mrs. Joan Kroc. The facility is open to members and the general public and serves residents of East San Diego, La Mesa and Lemon Grove with a variety of quality programs for individuals of all ages.
