No musical skills required! Assist a trained DrumBEAT Facilitator in Polk County Schools in engaging students in student team building, leadership and peace building. This evidence-based program looks like a fun, engaging activity - and it is! But it is more - it uses rhythm and drums to help students learn quicker, retain longer and develop problem solving skills.
Commit to 2 hours per week for 10 weeks in a school in your area that is participating in the program.

Leading Through Experience! You've gained a lifetime of experience. Now is the time to put your skills and talents to good use by volunteering through RSVP. RSVP provides opportunities for people 55 and over to make a difference in their community through volunteer service. RSVP volunteers contribute anywhere from a few to over forty hours a week, serving through non-profit, faith-based, and governmental agencies to help meet critical community needs. RSVP offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers. RSVP matches the personal interests and skills of volunteers with opportunities to help solve community problems and offers supplemental accident insurance while on duty, and on-the-job training from the agency or organization where volunteers are placed.
