The GECAC Erie County APPRISE Program utilizes volunteers in various roles to assist Medicare recipients. Volunteers are able to become trained Counselors or assist with education and outreaching to the community about APPRISE services. Training is provided. Hours are designed to be flexible to meet your schedule. The experience is both educational and rewarding. APPRISE Volunteers learn to become trusted resources of information and assistance. APPRISE volunteers can make a big impact on Medicare recipients by helping them to save money, make informed decisions about their health care, and help them to better understand issues that are complicated to them.
