Learn to help bring the healing power of horses to people with disabilities.
During orientation, we will go through all the ins and outs of what being a volunteer with us means. We hope to answer all your questions and go the trough what is expected of our volunteers. After the orientation you will be invited to join us in the hands on portion of the training. Here you will learn to be a Side Walker during lessons. We have opportunities for people with all levels of horse experience, including beginners. We will train you on everything you will need to know to handle the horse and work with our clients. Additional training is required before acting as a Horse Leader during lessons.
This orientation and training are given once a month. Inorder for you to join the orientation and training you will need to fill out the application available on our website under the volunteer tab. Then someone will be in touch with you. https://www.therightstepinc.org/forms.html
**Please fill out application or contact us before coming to orientation as we have limited space available. We will respond letting you know if we have space and what you need to do to become a volunteer.**
We look forward to seeing you around the barn!
