Looking for an outdoor activity to get the entire family involved? Do you need community service hours? How about a team building activity like gardening? We have immediate openings to register new volunteers to work in our community garden. No experience required. We'll teach you everything you need to know. Bring a willingness to learn, and if desired your own gloves. We do have gloves and tools but you are welcome to bring yours if you prefer. Hours are every other Wednesday and Friday at 6:30 p.m. and every Saturdays at 9:00 a.m. Contact us ASAP to let us know your interest. When you volunteer you get the opportunity to take a bag of food home with you as harvest allows. Know what you eat by growing what you eat.

Description
Beauty's Community Corporation serves Independence Heights and surrounding communities through community gardening. The garden operates under the name Beauty's Community Garden. Our garden offers farm to table fresh vegetables grown without pesticides to our neighbors. We offer hands-on garden learning as well as classroom garden education to the public. In addition, we provide healthy cooking demos and nutrition education.
