The signature fundraising event of Community Options, Cupid's Chase, is an annual 5K run on Valentine's Day weekend in more than 46 locations across the country. While its purpose is serious - raising funds to better the lives of individuals with disabilities through employment and housing supports - the race itself is fun and whimsical. Registrants identify themselves as either looking for love (Available) or already in love (Unavailable.) Some runners get really into Cupid character - we've seen many a pink tutu on the course.
Our volunteer committee is crucial to the success of the race - without volunteers, we simply would not have the ability to hold this great event.
Whether you have an hour a week to spare or lots of time on your hands, have some background in either race (or walk) planning or participation, we need YOU! Please help us improve the day to day lives of the individuals we serve and have some fun, too.
Looking for people with strengths in the following areas: event logistics, publicity, sponsorship solicitation, refreshment acquisition, entertainment, fundraising, volunteer management.
