Are you looking for a fun worthwhile project for your child this summer? Sign them up for Teen KAP ASAP! The kids will get community hours

I have been Treasurer for a nonprofit, The Kiran Anjali Project(KAP), for 6 years. KAP has a mission to advance the educational opportunities for disadvantaged children in India, especially girls. We accomplish the mission by providing grants to vetted organizations that are in line with our mission. My work with KAP has been very rewarding and I want to give our kids the same experience. The teens will learn about the plight of poor girls in India and complete projects to help our programs. In order for the program to be successful I will need a minimum of 10 participants/maximum 20. We will have 6-7 meetings in the summer I do not expect that everyone will be able to make all the meetings however your child should be able to attend at least 4 meetings to give them the best experience and so we can accomplish the tasks. The kids must be entering 7 th grade and above in the fall to participate in this program. Additionally, I am requesting a voluntary $40 donation to KAP to cover materials and shipping costs.

The meetings will be held from 7:30-9:00 on the following dates in my home in Burlingame

June 13- Tuesday

June 20-Tuesday

July 13-Thursday

July 20- Thursday

July 26-Wednesday

Aug 3-Thursday

Aug 10-Thursday

It will be a lot of fun and our kids will be spending part of their summer helping needy children.

P.S. This year we will be collecting jackets for the kids sizes 6-16 so if you have some gently used jackets that you have outgrown please save them and bring them to the meetings.
