Look Good Feel Better is a free program to help improve the self-image and self-esteem of women experiencing appearance-related side effects from cancer treatment.
Trained volunteer certified cosmetologists are needed to offer hands-on, self-help instruction and education in their areas of expertise--hairstyling and coping with hair loss, skin care, make-up and nail care--to cancer patients in group sessions, one-on-one salon consultations and through the distribution of self-help materials.
If you help women look good and feel better for a living, this is a great and rewarding opportunity to truly help them live better, as well. Volunteers must attend training which is provided through the American Cancer Society. For more information please call 800-227-2345.
