Cancer Awareness and Resource Network will host its 1st Annual Golf Outing "Chipping Away At Cancer" Friday, August 18, 2017.
Jim Thorpe, 19-time PGA and Champions Tour Winner will be our guest celebrity. Mr. Thorpe will offer "Tips from the Pro" and challenging the golfers to "Beat the Pro" in a closest to the pin shoot out.
This "Chipping Away At Cancer"Charity Golf Outing is designed to raise the necessary dollars to assist cancer fighters and their families across the State of Michigan while putting the spotlight on cancer of all types and their colors in a robust and inclusive way. Research show there are so many families that become destitute when cancer strikes their homes for if no other reason, the high cost of care, whether its chemotherapy, radiation, the cost of medicine or the loss of a job. This "Chipping Away At Cancer" Golf Outing is designed to help bridge the gap.

Our core focus: U.S. Veterans in Michigan. The Foundation’s geographic focus: Southeast Michigan - specifically the counties of Macomb, Oakland, Washtenaw and Wayne.

Our core focus: U.S. Veterans in Michigan.
The Foundation’s geographic focus: Southeast Michigan - specifically the counties of Macomb, Oakland, Washtenaw and Wayne.
Our goals are:
1) To build alliances with private and public organizations to expand our opportunities and resources to help more families
2) Yield a significant positive impact for U.S. Veterans and their families
3) Provide referrals for emotional and spiritual counseling services
