Presenters share their work experience and career information with elementary and middle school students. The students enjoy learning about different careers by seeing equipment or a tool that you bring (i.e. blueprints, stethoscope, or example on a laptop, etc.). Conducting an engaging activity with the students always goes over well. After 15 minutes the students rotate to a new room. The entire program lasts 1.5 hours so each presenter talks to four to six groups of students for 15-20 minutes each. The program is very informal, fun, and rewarding. These are 5th-6th graders so anything hands-on you can provide, or a simple game goes over well.
Programs are done at schools in Lancaster county.
