Volunteers are welcomed to join the Young Professionals Board of Special Olympics Illinois. Volunteers meet approximately monthly for an evening meeting or a fundraising event. All meetings and fundraising activities are scheduled in Chicago. The Young Professionals Board raises funds and public awareness to support children and adults with intellectual disabilities who participate in the Chicago program of Special Olympics Illinois. Share your ideas, time and enthusiasm!

Special Olympics Illinois provides year-round sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Special Olympics provides continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other athletes and the community.
Description
Special Olympics Chicago is one of 17 areas of Special Olympics Illinois and serves more than 4,800 athletes. Volunteers assist at competitions held throughout the year in addition to a variety of fundraising activities.
