Albany Public Library Foundation is looking for volunteers to enrich the literary history of Albany by helping to tell the story of our Literary Legends.

Each year, the APL Foundation honors a local writer at our Literary Legends Gala. Last Year, APL Foundation honored Peter Golden, Lyn Lifshin, and Dan Wilcox. This year's honoree(s) will be announced on March 9th

We are looking for several volunteers to help with compiling and amplifying the bibliographies of our Literary Legends.

Specific roles:
(1) one volunteer to update the bibliography of works by our Literary Legends on Library Thing.

LibraryThing is an online service to help people catalog their books easily, which also includes a "local" service, connecting local users to each other and promoting local literary events.

(2) one volunteer to organize a Wikipedia Edit-a-Thon, to fill in the histories of our Legends and their projects.

(3) additional volunteers to help compile bibliographies of our honorees, scan articles or ephemera, or produce short web-stories for our blog about our Legends.
