Event Committee Duties
- Recruit an Event Chair and consult with them on the following activities:
- Establish budget for event.
- Select caterer
- Select food and beverage menu.
- Oversee sub-committee activities
- Plan and oversee decorations.
- Book entertainment.
- Handle entertainment’s travel arrangements.
- Secure audio?visual equipment.
- Develop and implement a way to process guest registration and horse painting contest registration.

Description
WHY Ranch offers a free specialized Equestrian Education program called "Diamonds in the Rough" which provides Socially-Challenged youth an opportunity to experience the Wild West heritage of Las Vegas. Our one child - one horse environment is tailored for each child’s specific needs. Our "Diamonds in the Rough " Program reaches out to children 8-18 years of age in Clark County, NV, by providing an enriching environment where they can learn new life skills such as proactive problem solving and resolution to adversity in their daily lives.
At WHY Ranch, children are transformed through deliberate mentorship and learn respect, empathy and acceptance, ultimately empowering and inspiring children to become responsible and contributing citizens in their families and communities.
WHY Ranch program offers a positive alternative to negative influences that may exist in a child's life.
