ASD Adult Achievement Center is seeking a Group Leader for our PEERS Social Skills Parent Group. PEERS for Young Adults (Ages 18-35) is a 16 week evidence-based social skills training for motivated young adults, who are interested in learning skills to develop and maintain friendships and romantic relationships. Experience or exposure to individuals with Asperger's or High Functioning Autism is preferred but not required. Training and Program Materials will be provided. Time commitment is 4-6 hours per week for 16 weeks.This is a great opportunity for educators, counselors or parents of adults with ASD that want to give back to the community. Working from our location, and reporting to the President, the Program Leader will work collaboratively to carry out our mission, which is to empower ASD adults with knowledge for successful living. We provide a nurturing environment and are seeking volunteers that have a strong desire to support our program participants.
