About

ASD Adult Achievement Center is seeking a Program Assistant for our PEERS Social Skills Program. PEERS for Young Adults (Ages 18-35) is a 16 week evidence-based social skills training for motivated young adults with ASD, who are interested in learning skills to develop friendships and romantic relationships. Experience or exposure to individuals with ASD is preferred but not required. Duties include participating in role-play exercises and assisting young adults with behavioral rehearsals. Classes are held each Thursday from 6:30 to 8:00 pm and Program Assistants should be available from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm each Thursday evening. This is a great opportunity for college or grad students that want to gain experience working with young adults with ASD. Working from our location, and reporting to the President, the Program Assistant will work collaboratively to carry out our mission, empowering adults with ASD with knowledge for successful living. We provide a nurturing environment and are seeking volunteers that have a strong desire to support our program participants with patience, empathy and understanding. Interested applicants may contact Paula Breeden via telephone at 407-463-3857 or send email to asdachievement@gmail.com including a short bio and your phone number.
