SUMMARY:
ServiceWorks is unique in that it is a volunteer-driven program that works towards teaching Service Scholars (youth), ages 16-24, transferable college and workplace skills that they gain through the planning and implementation of community service projects. This program is led by VISTA AmeriCorps members that have dedicated a year of service to implementing the ServiceWorks program at YPI. A critical component of the program is bringing in community volunteers to help teach these skills to the youth enrolled in the program.
