Guest Experience/Exhibit Hall volunteers are the heart of what we offer. In this department you will be trained to educate our visitors about ocean conservation, inspire people to take action and engage guests with animal ambassadors. We have many of our animals that are accustomed to being handled for public interaction. We use our tide pool creatures for touching and teaching. We offer scheduled feedings of our multiple habitats, including octopus, sharks, rays, flat fish, jellyfish, and more. We also offer scheduled swell shark encounters. All of these are done by our amazing volunteer staff! There will plenty of training offered and no one will be required to do anything they are not comfortable doing. We pride ourselves on offering a unique guest experience that allows our visitors to learn and engage. We need YOU to help us do that!
While we encourage people with animal handling, teaching and public interaction skills to apply; it is NOT necessary that you have any of those. We are here for you to learn and share your knowledge with the visitors.
Do you have other skills that you think you want to apply to our organization? By all means, contact us!! We are always looking for people that want to give their time to our cause. Examples include: handy-work, office work, graphic design, marketing, school programs, husbandry, events, fund raising, organizing volunteers, birthday parties, etc....the list goes on!!
