We need someone who is great with words, media and communications. A dynamo to explain all the exciting and important work we do, the the masses:

  • Serve as co-spokesperson and messaging master for Powerful Beyond Measure
  • Write and pitch monthly press release for organization
  • Reach out to and manage media to publicize PBM, events, fundraisers and related activities; Seek editorial opportunities and follow-up with media
  • Create and manage PR opportunities and activities to expose PBM, programs and events

Mission Statement

In 2006, Powerful Beyond Measure (PBM) officially launched as an all-volunteer, non-profit that implements efforts towards youth and community development; focusing on creative, academic, professional, civic, social and personal growth by strategically integrating the arts, entertainment, sports and media industries into our programming and services. Our vision is to utilize these influential fields to reach the urban communities of our targeted youth; as well as empower the adults around them to become active leaders and contributors.

Description

C.A.P.E. League’s mission is to provide youth with the resources, role models, self-esteem and skills that will help positively shape them.

C.A.P.E. League is geared toward youth ages 11-17, from underserved communities, who may not be exposed to or able to afford to take part in productive and diverse activities. We are an inclusive program - opening doors to all youth: those with or without special needs; those who have behavioral or social challenges; those in traditional families, single parent households or foster care; those of all income levels; those who love the arts; and those who simply need support navigating the path of adolescence or wish to welcome new opportunities.

C.A.P.E. is an acronym for the components of the League and what we focus our activities on:
* C - Community, Cultural and Civic Involvement
* A - Arts, Entertainment, Sports & Media
* P - Personal and Social Development
* E - Educational, STEAM and Professional Enrichment
