Become a Caring and Crisis Hotline Listener.
You could save a life.
Volunteers receive 52 hours of comprehensive training in active listening, Mental Health First Aid and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training. You also are supported by seasoned listeners during 24 hours of internship before you answer calls on your own. Even once you are a certified listener, we provide a range of support and training opportunities so you can continue to develop your skills.

Part of a nationwide network of crisis hotlines affiliated with CONTACT USA and, internationally, with Lifeline International, Caring Contact is dedicated to preventing suicide and making a positive difference in people's lives. The service, provided by highly trained volunteers, is free and confidential.

Caring Contact is also a member of the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, for which it answers calls to 1 (800) SUICIDE and 1 (800) 273-8255.
