Are you looking for a flexible, rewarding volunteer opportunity?
Have you ever been told you are a good listener?
Do you have a yearning to really make a difference?
Become a Caring and Crisis Hotline Listener.
You could save a life.
Volunteers receive 52 hours of comprehensive training in active listening, Mental Health First Aid and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training. You also are supported by seasoned listeners during 24 hours of internship before you answer calls on your own. Even once you are a certified listener, we provide a range of support and training opportunities so you can continue to develop your skills. Once trained, volunteers agree to provide 8 hours in our call center. The 8 hours are flexible and chosen by the volunteer through an on-line calendar.
Join our listening community.
Our next volunteer training will be held:
We hope to return to in-person training. If not, we have an established virtual training for volunteers.
No additional volunteer opportunities at this time.
