Resident Resources Assistant
Make an immediate impact on the lives of families in crisis, acquire firsthand experience supporting those experiencing homelessness, and gain insight into working in a 24/7 human services operation. The Front Desk stands at the very heart of People Serving People, welcoming families into shelter and distributing vital information and basic supplies to guests, staff, other volunteers, and the broader community.
Every day: 9:00 am-10:00 pm (3 hour shifts: 9:00 am-noon, 2:00-5:00 pm, 5:00-8:00 pm, 7:00-10:00 pm)
Requirements: Must be able to work in a diverse and fast-paced setting, complete our online application, pass a background check, and commit to a regular schedule for 3 months. Must be at least 16.

Description
PSP is a non-profit shelter for families in transition. Located in downtown Minneapolis two blocks from the Metrodome, PSP houses as many as 350 people each night. The average stay for a family in a room with private bath is 38 days, and the average age of one of our guests is 6 years. We serve three hot meals a day and offer a wide variety of services including a medical clinic, children's programs, and Technology Center.
