Poetry facilitator
We provide a full activities program me for our residents and we are looking for volunteers to help facilitate reading groups and poetry appreciation sessions for our residents to enjoy.
Write the participant’s ideas, words and phrases on dry erase board and help arrange them in poetic lines.
Looking for a once a month Session. 45-60 minutes
They can be theme-based, such as the ocean, springtime, or train travel. Help trigger memory and imagination.
- To promote and facilitate regular reading sessions
- Encourage residents to produce shorts stories and poetry
- To read stories and poetry in an engaging way and support residents to read and share their opinions about the books/poetry

Description
As a volunteer, you will be interacting with our residents during a variety of activities that are geared to stimulate them mentally, physically and emotionally.
The residents enjoy a variety of activites on a daily basis. With several common living areas to choose from, residents can relax in a comfortable quiet area, or choose to spend time with other residents and staff in an organized activity. Residents have something special to look forward to each day. Each and every resident is an important part of the Grace Manor family.
