The American Cancer Society Relay For Life movement is the world’s largest fundraising event to end cancer. Funds raised through the events enable the Society to help people facing the disease today, educate people about how to reduce their risk for cancer or detect it early when it’s the easiest to treat, and fund cancer research that will help protect future generations.
But our work is not done. We need people like you to join the Relay For Life movement and help multiply our efforts to eliminate cancer as a public health problem.
By becoming a Relay For Life event volunteer, you have the opportunity to make a tangible impact in the fight against cancer, gain valuable leadership skills, and receive the honor and satisfaction of helping others in your community enjoy a memorable experience.
The event is located at Oak Crest Middle School 675 Balour Dr, Encinitas, CA 92024. We need people to help set up the event on Friday, July 27th, 2018 between 12:00 PM and 6:00 PM putting up signs, marking the track for team camp sites, setting up chairs & tables. On Saturday, July 28th we need people to help throughout the day in registration, at the stage, as runners, and to help with luminaria. We need help on Sunday, July 29th from 9:30AM to 12:00PM to help tear down the event.
