Looking for a rewarding experience combining your love of California history, arts and culture while giving back to the community? The California Museum is seeking new volunteers to engage visitors through our education and family programming.
Whether you're looking for a few weekend hours to fill as a full-time professional or a weekday position as a retiree or college student, the Museum has many volunteer opportunities to choose from including:
Gallery Guides, Special Events Staff, and Educational Program Presenters.
Flexible hours and schedules are available, and benefits include museum memberships, discounts at the Museum Store, invitations to volunteer appreciation events and more. Learn more at our Volunteer Workshop on Sunday, August 19 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm. The workshop will include a private tour of the Museum and complimentary refreshments.

Description
The California Museum offers a variety of volunteer opportunities for anyone with an interest in California history, art and culture available throughout the week in flexible 2 hour intervals. Volunteers are instrumental in making the Museum experience memorable for over 125,000 visitors each year, in positions ranging from gallery guides, special events, and more. Benefits include free a Museum membership after 40 hours of volunteer service, a discount in Museum Store, free event attendance and the opportunity to help the Museum meet its mission to educate, enlighten and inspire visitors with California history, arts and culture.
