PLACEMENT PURPOSE
Support the disaster recovery of individuals, families, and communities through the activities of Casework and Recovery Planning, Recovery Systems, and Community Recovery.
OPEN TIME DAYS
Varies based upon need, but, usually entails service in the Richmond Office (420 E. Cary /Street) during business hours (8:30am-4:30pm). ｠
This position is required to crosstrain as a Disaster Action Team member and agree to respond to local fire calls if received during shift.｠
This role does not require operational response, but, fully trained Caseworkers can choose to be placed in an operational Recovery position to serve during larger scale disasters or to deploy.｠
REQUIRED TRAININGIs in the process of completing or has completed the required training:
• Disaster Cycle Services: An Overview
• Recovery Services: An Overview
• Casework and Recovery Planning Fundamentals
• Direct Client Assistance Fundamentals
• Meet the Client: What is a Family?
