Kids Feeding Program Needs Volunteers!
Help feed kids by preparing meals for our new foodie truck. With help from volunteers, meals for the after school feeding program will be prepared in a kitchen in the West End Village (1210 Patterson Ave. SW, next to West End Center and in the same building as the Freedom First branch) and delivered to children in a new foodie truck called Cafe to Grow.
Easy Meal Prep on Mondays & Thursdays: Volunteers are needed from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. to prepare food.
All opportunities are on the Feeding America Southwest Virginia volunteer site: faswva.volunteerhub.com
(Volunteers are also needed to go with the food trailer on Monday and Thursday to help serve meals to children on location. Any shifts you or your group can take are appreciated.)
Volunteers need to be at least 16 and wear closed-toed, non-skid shoes. For more information, contact Barb Putney at 540-342-3011 ext. 7016 or bputney@faswva.org. You can sign up online: faswva.volunteerhub.com
