Information sharing is an important way to further our understanding of brain tumors and, ultimately, save lives. At the American Brain Tumor Association’s Alumni Research Network Meeting, our top goal is driving the dialogue of the latest research approaches, while inspiring and incentivizing research collaborations. The AARN has forged nearly 50 organic research collaborations that would not have otherwise occurred.
Scientists and researchers attend the meeting to hear the latest from leaders in the field. Meeting sessions identify how the field has evolved and what still needs to be explored in brain tumor research.

Mission Statement
The mission of the American Brain Tumor Association is to advance the understanding and treatment of brain tumors with the goals of improving, extending and, ultimately, saving the lives of those impacted by a brain tumor diagnosis.
We do this through interactions and engagements with brain tumor patients and their families, collaborations with allied groups and organizations, and the funding of brain tumor research.
Description
Founded in 1973, the American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA) was the first national nonprofit organization dedicated solely to brain tumors. For over 40 years, the ABTA has been providing critical funding to researchers working toward breakthroughs in brain tumor diagnosis, treatment and care. We remain the only national organization providing comprehensive resources and serving the complex supportive care needs of brain tumor patients and their caregivers - from diagnosis through treatment and beyond.
