The Mystic River Watershed Association is hosting its first of three invasive plant removal days on Saturday, June 24th. Help remove the invasive plant, Oriental bittersweet, from Torbert Macdonald Park in Medford, MA. All supplies are provided. Please wear close-toed shoes and bring a water bottle.

Mission Statement
The Mystic River Watershed Association (MyRWA) was founded in 1972 to protect and restore natural resources in the 22-community watershed. MyRWA accomplishes this work through the efforts of professional staff and thousands of volunteers working together on a project-by-project basis.
MyRWA mission is to protect and restore the Mystic River, its tributaries and watershed lands for the benefit of present and future generations and to celebrate the value, importance and great beauty of these natural resources.
Description
The Mystic River Watershed encompasses 76 square miles, half a million inhabitants, and 22 communities, in whole or in part. It extends from the headwaters of the Aberjona River in suburban Reading to the heavily urban/industrial communities bordering Boston Harbor.
Communities in the watershed include the following: Arlington, Melrose, Belmont, Reading, Revere, Charlestown, E. Boston, Somerville, Burlington, Stoneham, Cambridge, Wakefield, Chelsea, Watertown, Everett, Wilmington, Lexington, Winchester, Malden, Winthrop, Medford, and Woburn.
