Black Forest Together is continuing with fire disaster clean up. Volunteers are needed to help with projects that involve general clean up, chipping, tree planting, and other property rehabilitation.

Help needed most Saturdays through October. Good project for community service hours.

All projects are located in the Black Forest area.

Our mission: To help the people of the Black Forest region to recover, rebuild and restore their lives, protect the Forest’s water quality and ecological health with an emphasis placed on community values, economic stability and the richness of our natural environment today and in the future.

Description

Black Forest Together was formed by Black Forest citizens to help our community recover from the catastrophic Black Forest Fire of June 2013. We serve the community by organizing volunteer work projects to clean up debris from the fire, obtaining government funding for individual property mitigation, and being a general resource to residents on recovery, mitigation, and disaster preparedness.
